Welcome Incoming Freshman!
As a first-year EOF student, you will participate in an immersive Summer Institute Program, where you can earn up to 6-credits, receive supplemental instruction, participate in a research project, build relationships with your academic advisor, EOF counselor, and faculty, and develop life-long relationships with your peers–all at NO-COST to students.
It is advised that all incoming Freshman students should attend and successfully complete the EOF Summer Institute. Admission to Rutgers University-Camden is contingent upon successful completion of the summer program.
Applying to EOF for Incoming Freshman
EOF admission is highly competitive and spaces are limited every year. Potential students can apply through the Rutgers University admissions application by indicating “yes” in their interest to be considered for the EOF Program. We encourage interested students to apply when the Rutgers Admissions application opens in September.

If you have committed to starting your first-year at Rutgers-Camden in Fall 2024 and did not apply to the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) program during your initial application, it’s not too late to become part of our community! Simply fill out the EOF Interest Application (Click Here) to express your interest in joining our supportive EOF family.
Please note: This application will not be reviewed until Summer 2024. It is important to regularly check your email for updates and further instructions.
EOF Application Timeline
When applying to Rutgers University-Camden you must complete a University admission application. Please be sure to check “yes” to the question that asks if you are interested in being considered for EOF.
You will then be sent the supplemental EOF application via email to complete. If you are unsure if you did this or are already admitted and want to be considered for EOF, please contact Rutgers University-Camden Admissions. Complete your FAFSA when it opens October 1st. If you need additional information please contact Rutgers Office of Financial Aid.
Check your admissions portal regularly to make sure you are submitting any requested Admission and Financial Aid documents IMMEDIATELY to the Office of Admissions in order for your EOF application to be complete.
Once your Admissions application is complete and it has been deemed you meet the preliminary qualifications of the program, you will receive an admissions decision on your Rutgers portal.

Financial Verification Process
Please note, ALL incoming students in EOF have to complete a comprehensive financial verification process in order to provide proof of eligibility for the program. This means two years’ worth of tax return transcripts, statements of benefits, and other financial forms that verifies the household income reported on your FAFSA from the years 2021 & 2022.
