Application Process
Am I Eligible For the EOF Program?
To apply for an EOF grant, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a New Jersey resident for at least one year prior to enrollment.
- You must have a documented history of financial and academic disadvantage.
- You and/or family must meet the income guidelines listed on the chart.
- You must be a first generation college student (i.e. your parents are not four-year college graduates).
- You must receive a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma by the time you register for college.
- If
you are a foreign national, you must hold an Alien Registration Card Form
I-151 or I-94 indicating that you are an eligible non-citizen.
- You must provide evidence of your ability to succeed in college.
How Do I Apply?
If you believe you may qualify for EOF support, please submit to us:
- A Rutgers University application for admission and supporting credentials (available online at http://admissions.rutgers.edu/html/07.asp).
- Official SAT or ACT scores.
- Official high school records and/or GED scores.
- The application fee or a College Entrance Examination Board Fee Waiver Form from your high school guidance counselors office.
- The Rutgers University Educational Opportunity Fund Questionaire (EOFQ) included in your undergraduate application.
- The Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA), available from your high school guidance office or online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- Copies
of your parents' Federal Income Tax Returns, including schedules and attachments.
Also attach Form SSA-1099 (for recipients of social security benefits) or
a history page from your County Board of Social Services, if applicable.
